Motivation From Only Having Two Year Left To Live

What if you found out you only had two years left to live? Not twenty. Not ten. Two. How would that change the way you spend your time? You probably wouldn’t waste another hour scrolling through arguments online, chasing things that don’t feed your soul, or holding onto bitterness from the past. Suddenly, your priorities would become crystal clear.

You’d likely spend more time with the people you love—family, old friends, your kids. You’d say the things you’ve been holding back. You’d stop waiting for the “perfect time” to take that trip, write that letter, mend that relationship, or pursue what sets your heart on fire.

The truth is, two years isn’t promised. Neither is tomorrow. But most of us live like we’ve got forever. We put off the deep conversations, the laughter, the forgiveness, the risk of living fully—until “someday.”

But someday isn’t a date on the calendar.

If you’d live differently with a two-year clock ticking, then maybe it’s time to start living that way now. Love hard. Say what matters. Let go of what doesn’t. Because in the end, it’s never about how much time we had—it’s about what we did with it.
